PaySpan to Zelis Transition Moved to October 19, 2026

Carelon Behavioral Health issued a provider alert on September 11, 2026 setting the new go-live date for the PaySpan to Zelis payment transition: October 19, 2026. The move was first announced for June 12, then delayed in June without a replacement date.

What to do before October 19

• Already enrolled with ZAPP Edge for other payers: no action needed. Log in to Zelis to access payment data and remittances. Support: 877-828-8770 or ClientService@zelispayments.com.
• Not enrolled with Zelis: register through the Carelon ePayment Center before October 19. If you do not register by the migration date, payments temporarily switch to paper checks until registration is complete. Support: 855-774-4392 or help@epayment.center.
• Enrolled in the free ZAPP for another payer: you still need to register with Carelon and create a separate account.

Timing

Bank account validation can take up to six business days after you submit, so the practical deadline for a clean cutover is the week of October 5. Until October 19, keep using PaySpan and your current remittance process.

Confirm that whoever receives remittance notifications is a current employee, and that your banking and remittance preferences carried over if you registered in June.
